WHO WE ARE

Sunset Candles is an artisanal, designer candle maker based in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 1996 and owner-run, the business offers a wide variety of both functional and decorative candle types, featuring hand-painted artwork with an African theme.

Handcrafted


All our candles are hand-made and hand-painted, so you know you're receiving something totally unique. Our candles have been refined over thousands of hours of dedicated craftsmanship.

These are compact, solid candles with artwork all around. They come in a variety of styles, or plain, and can be ordered as sets, or in large quantities if part of a custom order.

SUN POT

A newer Sunset Candles range, our fire pots have proven to be popular for their glowing effects when burning. And the best part? You don't damage the outer shell because you burn a seaparate tealight candle inside.

TUNA

Our eco-friendly, refurbished tuna tin candles use upcycling to create something both beautiful and useful. Myriad artwork designs and colors are available
